shleptichka: a technique of painting with a feather duster

by:Marslite     2019-09-10
If you meet anyone who will say or spell \"shleptichka (shlep-teech\'-ke)
You might be talking to an old theater set painter like me.
Shleptichka is a method that has been widely used in theaters to draw with a feather duster.
It brings a rich textured look to the stage apartment, and in the case of a stage light change, it brings a new look to the apartment.
In addition to using shleptichka to paint theater sets, interior decorators may also be interested.
Try an accent wall in the room.
Most importantly, pay attention to the effect of different lights on the wall.
Bright daylight, dusk, or lighting can bring a unique atmosphere to the room.
It\'s a good idea to paint with a feather duster when everyone uses a chicken feather.
The feathers wear out quickly, so a set of stage sets may require several copiers to finish the paint work.
The old feather duster eagerly picked it up from the alley trash can and stored it in the theater store with a brush.
But today, plastic and electricity have greatly reduced the use of natural feathers as cleaning tools.
\"Shleptichka\" is included in the historical text of drama.
Duds made of large natural feathers have become expensive items.
But there are still feathers on geese, turkeys, peacocks and other poultry.
With a bit of creativity, such a large feather can be glued to or tied to a short stake of 1/2 with tape.
Skip the expensive \"shan\" phase.
Use unwanted feathers and create a serious tool for feather painting.
When feathers wear, simply replace them with new feathers in the pin handle.
What you need to make a feather painting tool with a short length of 1/2 is important for the handle as you want to rotate it in your hand while drawing.
You also want to circle the feathers.
Traditional duster sticks feathers to the Cup at the end of the handle.
This is great for dust removal, but it wears feathers faster when painting.
The drawing tools should fit the feathers outside at a 45 degree angle so that they can fan out better and can be easily removed when replaced.
Let me suggest drilling a hole at the end of the pin and a screw.
Make a small cone with paper and tape of about 45 degrees angle.
Put a straw in the middle of the cone as a screw hole, and put a little wet tissue around the point of the cone.
Then fill the paper cone with rock hard putty, let it dry and form a solid cone around the straw.
Remove the wet paper towel and cut off the extra straw.
The screw keeps this blunt point of the cone at the end of the pin.
Before connecting the cone to the pin, place some small feather feathers in the hole, so that the head of the tightened screw can fix the feathers at the end of the tool.
With the cone now attached to the pin, you can tie a large feather on the side of the cone until it has the full appearance of a feather duster.
Your tools are ready to use.
There is a supply of excess feathers as they will wear out sooner or later.
Step 1 how Shleptichka doneMask protects you from paint with paper or plastic.
Shleptichka is a striking method of painting.
Use at least 3 colors or shades of color of your choice.
Roll over the darkest shadows as a complete covering base coating.
After drying, scoop a little bit of a lighter color on the temporary palette.
Turn the feathers in the paint.
You may want to remove excess paint from your feathers and check the look by drawing a test surface first.
When rotating the handle in the hand to make the badminton fan out, apply the tool to the surface to be painted.
Move the tool quickly when you suck it dry.
You\'re not trying to cover the whole surface.
Let the base color be displayed in about 50% of the walls.
When the second color is finished, please clean the tool if the feathers are still available.
Otherwise, throw away the feathers and replace them.
Start painting with 3rd shades or colors.
Again, you will have the previous color shown, so this lighter color will only cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the surface area.
Clean as before.
If you are using the fourth color, follow the same steps.
The last color covers only 1/4 to 1/2 of the surface.
You are the final referee of the look you want to achieve.
