by:Marslite     2019-09-24
After being forced to abandon her experimental style, the artistic director of Shakespeare\'s Globe theater will stage a challenging final season of \"all the bells and whistles \".
Emma Rice said that when she opened the summer of the Love season, she wanted to \"quit with glory, success and meaning\" and planted flowers on the thatched roof of the building, 12 nights, she joked that \"the ship of Love met Margaret Thatcher \".
She also noted that in her controversial 2016 season, the audience grew to 93, and the theater booked a record business ahead of schedule this summer.
On October, when she first joined the company for a year, the global board of directors announced that she would leave.
She uses \"contemporary sound and lighting technology\"
Neon lights, lights and microphonesed up actors -
Not approved by them.
Rice agreed to stay in office until next April.
The first time Rice talked about the board\'s decision, she said: \"One of the questions that everyone asks me over and over again is: why do I stay?
\"The answer is simple: I stayed because of this season.
It is impossible for me to leave this season, these people, and what we will do in this amazing building.
So that\'s really why I had a really hard time.
\"It\'s a season I \'ve been doing, and I\'m real in many ways.
The board\'s decision was in April 2018, the beginning of the next season, and the conditions would change, so I was free to control.
This does not mean that I have done anything different.
\"The sound and lighting equipment will be improved from last year and we will improve it, but yes, it will have all the features I like.
Rice said she chose not to resign immediately.
\"I have to decide whether to behave emotionally or intellectually.
But it\'s actually emotional.
I love this building, I love this team, I love this season.
It\'s hard to come in every time . . . . . . But I will only watch cheap hunting if I go out.
\"The attendance figures for last year\'s wonder season were warmly welcomed by critics, but some Traditionalists hated --
Someone compared her lights to the disco at the school.
Seems to be defending her.
\"Last summer, we reached the capacity of 8 percentage points more than the previous year, which I think means it has to be entirely possible to increase by another 7 percentage points to 100, this is definitely what I want to do.
I want to go out with brilliance, success and meaning.
\"85 cents in [
Dominique de rologoire.
Last season, it was 93 cents in the miracle season, so if you look at math . . . . . . It was reported last year that some insiders thought Rice \"did not like Shakespeare \".
But she clarified: \"What I often say is that I am fighting Shakespeare, and I have sat in many works of Shakespeare but do not understand them.
That\'s why I refused to lie.
\"I \'ve had some of the greatest theater experiences in Shakespeare\'s life, so that\'s why I\'m strict with my own truth --
Tell, this is: it\'s really great when it\'s great, it\'s terrible when it\'s not good.
We have to start telling the truth.
\"In a global coup, Rice signed with Daniel Kramer, artistic director of the British National Opera House, to direct a piece of Romeo and Juliet.
Edward Hogg and Kirsty Bushell will be stars
Cross with the lovers of Harry Patel as Friar Lawrence.
Rice will direct Feste on the evening of the 12 th, played by George Ikediashi, who is also known as \"drag performer Le hallau Chocolat \".
The plot of the wreck reminded Rice of the sinking of the Belgrano, but \"it\'s hard to make a comedy from the Falklands War, so I moved it to 1979 earlier, Thatcher\'s first year
The sinking of the Costa Concordia also gave me a little inspiration.
More like a ship of love meeting Margaret Thatcher
\"The Summer of the Love season will also include\" nothing to do \"directed by Matthew Dunst and filmed during the Mexican Revolution in 1910-
\"If there\'s time to celebrate Mexican culture, that\'s it,\" he said . \"
The new historical drama, Butica, directed by Eleanor Rhode Island.
The creative community has dumped its weight behind the rice.
Kramer said he would not come to Earth for others.
\"Emma offers artists an incredible platform to treat their work as a playground, and that\'s how she treats it.
\"I\'m not here just because I can use sound and lighting, I\'m here because I like to work with the art director who drives my vision, not trying to tame it.
\"Rice, after watching the cover of The Beatles Sgt Pepper album, came up with the summer theme of love, and realized that it has been 50 years since the summer of love in 1967, and that was the same when I was born.
\"We will plant flowers on trees and flowers on thatched grass as if life broke out of the structure of the building.
The 2017 summer of the Love season will begin on April 22.
